Membership Types
Ordinary member:
Any person who is registered as a social worker within the Republic and registered with the SACSSP qualifies as an ordinary member;
Associate member:
Associate member: Any person who is registered as an auxiliary social worker, or student social worker within the Republic of South Africa with the SACSSP, or who is registered in a closely related field, e.g. psychology, may become an associate member;
Honorary Member:
Honorary membership is bestowed on individuals who are have made a contribution to the Association which in the view of the NEC deserves to be recognised by the Association;
There shall be the following membership types of the Association, namely:

Ordinary member: Any person who is registered as a Social worker within the Republic of South Africa with the SACSSP may become an ordinary member;

Voting for the National Executive Committee (NEC) and branch committees is restricted to paid up ordinary members ONLY.

Associate member: Any person who is registered as an auxiliary social worker, or student social worker within the Republic of South Africa with the SACSSP, or who is registered in a closely related field, e.g. psychology, may become an associate member;

Associate members shall have no vote in the affairs of the Association;

Associate members are not eligible to be appointed to the NEC.

Honorary Member: Honorary membership is bestowed upon individuals who have made a contribution to the Association which in the view of the NEC deserves to be recognised by the Association;

Honorary members pay no subscriptions and may attend all events as guests of the Association;

Honorary members shall have no vote in the affairs of the Association;

Honorary members are not eligible to be appointed to the NEC.
